I searched for 10 years to find an orthotic that would go in every shoe and still have enough control to benefit my patients. Orthotics control pronation and I realized it was therefore only being controlled some of the time and that to do right by my patients I had to provide orthotics that could be worn all the time. The answer: DRESSTHOTICS!

Very often non-prescription (non-casted) orthotics have enough inherent control to adequately control pronation. Thus, my discovery of dressthotics, which are wafer-thin and can be worn in all types of shoes for the vast majority of patients. The control inherent in dressthotics is adequate and they don't require prescription orthotic devices. Sometimes the comfort that patients get just in dressthotics steer them into realizing that orthotics made from a cast of their feet is the appropriate direction for treatment.

These orthotics are analogous to reading glasses which are not made from an examination of ones eyes, i.e. they may not be exactly suited to the specific deformity but they make a huge difference in adding comfort to ones life. If dressthotics are comfortable but they are not resolving your problem 100% that may be an indication that orthotics made from a cast of your feet is the next step in resolving your specific foot problem.
